Notifications in Superpunch Chat use the following hierarchy:
- If you set Do Not Disturb it will override all other notification settings during the Do Not Disturb timeframe and no notifications will be sent during that time.
- If you have selected a specific notification setting for a channel/DM that setting will be used.
- If you have not selected a channel/dm specific notification setting the global notification settings will be used.
Do Not Disturb and Global notifications can be set in Superpunch Chat Settings.
Specific Channel notifications can be configured in the Superpunch Chat Channel Info/Details or by hovering over a channel name and clicking the ... menu.
Notification Options:
- Do Not Disturb - No notifications are sent.
- All Messages - A notification is sent for all messages.
- Mentions only - A notification is only sent when @username or @here is used.
- Mute - No notifications are sent while mute is engaged.
Superpunch Chat also uses desktop notifications.
For desktop notification preferences for the Chrome or Safari browsers, see the corresponding instructions below.
To Enable desktop notifications in your Chrome browser, follow these steps:
- Click the Lock icon in the URL bar.
- Choose Site Settings.
- Change the dropdown beside "Notifications" to Allow.
To Enable desktop notifications in your Safari browser, follow these steps:
- Navigate to: Safari -> Preferences.
- Select the Websites tab.
- Scroll down and select Notifications.
- Choose Allow in the dropdown beside Superpunchtms.com.
- Also check in System Preferences
- Select Notifications.
- Find Safari on the left side. If you can't find it, make sure Notifications is selected at the top.
- Ensure Notifications are set as Allowed.
