This applies to those users who punch time in Superpunch.
When you forget to punch Logout at the end of your workday this leaves an Open Punch. The next time you log into Superpunch you will see a Forced Exception window. You must complete and submit the Forced Exception request before you can continue with the process of punching in your time. A Forced Exception often happens when Users that are new to Superpunch forget to track their time. Don't worry we've all been there!
In the Open Punch window, you will need to:
- Indicate what the correct Start Date/Time and End Date/Time should have been for the open punch.
- Indicate the Reason (which would be "Missed Punch")
- Add a brief Note in the "Notes" textbox as to why you are submitting the exception (for example: "Forgot to log out of Superpunch.").
- Select Submit to have the request forwarded for review and approval by your Supervisor.
Once approved you will see your hours and any affected attendance points updated.
Don't forget to Punch In for your current shift after submitting the Forced Exception Request.
