As a "Merge User", you have access to a tool to merge duplicate accounts.
Note: Before you do the merge you must have the following info:
- Old and new account Superpunch ID or usernames.
- Employment Start Date (For Mesa Users).
To merge user accounts, follow these steps:
- Log into Superpunch.
- Navigate to Admin Tools -> Users.
- Click on the Merge Accounts tab.
- Under "Merging From" field, enter the User's Name to merge from (this will be the account that is not actively being used).
- Select the User Name when it displays.
- Under "Merging To", enter the User’s Name to merge to (this will be the active account or the account we ultimately want to be used).
- Select the User Name when it displays.
- Select the corresponding Employment Start Date.
- Next Select accounts to discover user's accrual records (if applicable).
- Select Confirm Merge.
In the case of merging multiple profiles:
- Once you’ve merged every duplicate account that will not be used, you will then select the last remaining inactive profile in the “Merge From” field, and then select the actively in-use profile that has the correct identifiers and roles within the “Merge To” field.
Note: For Mesa users, you’ll be presented with more required options to choose:
- Employment Start Date - unless explicitly specified on the request, use the older employment start date.
- Time Accrual Start Date - this should be in line with the employment start date, but if not available, choose the older date.
- Time Accrual End Date - this should be in line with the chosen time accrual start date.
- Screencap the chosen options, and attach this to the JIRA ticket.
- Screencap the merge results and attach this to the JIRA ticket.
You can select Edit Merged User to review the new account and make modifications if necessary.
